Whatcom Humane Society

Whatcom Humane Society is by far the nicest most caring bunch of ladies I've ever met. I went in not having a single thing for my rescue pup. And the ladies their provided me with a nice almost new dog crate, a huge Kirkland dog bed, puppy food both wet and crunchy. A cover for his dog crate. I'm so grateful and blessed for this place. And lastly, before I left one of the ladies mentioned the Whatcom Humane Society S.N.A.P application. I filled it out and was immediately approved for neutering all of his vaccinations deworming, flea and tic, I'm so happy about this cause I want him fixed as soon as I can. My Brutas will not be raised to be aggressive. He's my lil lover not a fighter. Society has such a negative stigma against pits. Well I can tell you. It's not always the dog. It's 9 times

We had such a great experience adopting our two kitties from here. The volunteers are amazing and the staff is patient and well-informed. They clearly care a lot about making sure their animals go to a great home!

We got our kitten from them, she was sick when we got her but she got better. We filled out an adoption paper the first time but didn't end up getting the cat, so we went back every few weeks during the 6 months the adoption paper lasts for. They seemed to get new cats/dogs pretty often. They also have birds, guinea pigs, and other rodents.

My dog got out of the yard and animal control picked her up and brought her here. They took great care of my baby and I got her back home safe n sound!

Just got my 2nd Dog from Humane Society 3wka ago, 1st was 9yra ago, adopted a 5yr old female am-staff. Sweet, loving dog, miss her greatly, just had to take her in for final trip to vet couple months ago. New Dog was only 13 Months old, still lot of puppy in her, other than learning a little manners, she has been fantastic, especially with all the other dogs at Dog Park! This Dog another 56# lap dog, can't go by what's on notes, from volunteers, when dogs in there, they all got the jail mentality, everybody (dog) barking at everyone & everything else. Since out, Nautia's anxiety has calmed way down, & doing great, still needs learn some manners, but working on that. Overall, was good experience both times.
