Westover Animal Hospital

Been coming for years. 4 years with a dog, several months now with a cat. Vet techs are excellent, ladies at the front are kind as can be, doctors are excellent as well. Everyone is the balance of personable and professional that you'd want in a vet (or people doctor honestly) and will meet you on whatever knowledge level you're at. I'm sure the prices for care can be higher or lower compared to other vets in the area, but the level of care you get can't be compared; they're a league above the rest.

Dr. Lois‘s Number one priority is always the best care for your animal. As a client of over 30 years, there is no one better.

I have been a long-term customer for 38 plus years. Would not even think of going anywhere else! They have seen me at my best with my animals and Lord knows I've seen me at my worst, when I've had to say goodbye. I love the doctors, I love the staff, and they have great grooming facilities. Feel very comfortable if I have to board my animals, you don't feel as guilty if you have to leave them overnight for any reason. Update June 2024 still love the staff and doctors. But they have had a substantial price increases!!

Before moving to Albany in the early 90’s, I contacted the local veterinarian offices at that time with this question, “I will need a veterinarian that can care for my pets which included several kinds of finches(birds), chinchillas, and a duck that I had incubated and watched her break out of her shell. Would your office be able to treat these animals?” I received the answer “No” from all but Westover Animal Hospital, instead I was put on hold and quickly Dr. Henry Hart, DVM picked up and proceeded to talk to me about my pets and said he would take us on. Taking time out of his schedule to talk to me right then and there, said it all….. this was the place for my pets. Brought my cat in due to him being sick. They gave him a bath and after he urinated and deficated on himself but they just stated “we didn’t attempt to give him another after that” and sent him home covered in his own urine and feces. They also have attempted to charge us for the bath after sending him home covered in his accident. I am absolutely disgusted with this office. This is not the first time something like this has happened to our animals. I will be switching vets due to the techs.
