Westgate Veterinary Hospital

Our cat Flash, was seen at the clinic on 1/8/2026 for booster shots and treatment for wounds on her side. We were seen with minimal wait time by Dr. Don Denton, and professional staff. We were in and out in less than 45 minutes. We have had two other pets treated at Westgate during the seventies & nineties. After all these years, Dr. Don is still the best, and now, the most experienced in the area.

I am severely distraught, overwhelmed and honestly so upset. I took my sweet baby (puppy) to Westgate, previously I called about an appointment and set one up with the receptionist. Once I arrive , I'll say we got in there fairly quick but when he told me to get her out he was very fast paced, like he was in a hurry, mind you'll they close at 5pm, I arrived at 4:45pm. So they scheduled me at the end of everyone's shift which was fine , the whole point is My PUPPY WAS GIVEN NO DIAGNOSIS. she had ZERO TESTS DONE. He gives her nutri cal and a nausea injection BUT NO DIAGNOSIS. we're talking about a 9 pound, 6 month old puppy. We were very pleased with the service. Our little dog had to have knee surgery. (8 lb Yorkiepoo) She was cared for gently and everyone was very kind. I highly recommend Dr Denton and his staff.

My elderly baby dog was mauled by another dog last summer, and the doctors and staff at Westgate got us in quickly and treated us both kindly and fairly. They are not only affordable, but thorough and direct. Earlier this month it was apparent that her time had come to cross the rainbow bridge. I cannot express to you how grateful I am that they were there to assist us, but were so humane, caring, and patient even though we were the last clients of the day. I picked up her remains yesterday. One of the wonderful techs brought her out to me, and presented me with not only her ashes in a beautiful box, but they had also taken a stamped imprint of her paws and her snout. I have been debating on whether or not to post this but if it prevents one person from going through what we did it is worth it. Awhile back we had a dog that was very elderly (16 year old chihuahua) and was at the end of his life. For about a year we knew he was nearing the end and we did everything possible for him to make him comfortable. The last few months we ate very little and lost a lot of weight. On his final day he had a seizure and started having a hard time breathing. We didn’t want him to suffer and called Westgate to assist with a euthanasia. They are not are normal veterinarian but we needed someone closer, our normal veterinarian is 45 minutes away. When we got there they got us in quickly.
