Westfield Regional Animal Shelter

One star is being gracious to this terrible place. I lost my cat and hadn't seen her for three months. After two months of posting an searching, someone made the connection with my long-standing post and this shelter's post, and it was my cat! I called and was so excited and in disbelief she was okay!! My kids were so excited to get her back. I called and spoke with Terri.... she didn't believe she was mine. I understand asking lost of questions as they probably get scammers often, but the attitude I got and the shaming ... "but you let her ouustiiiiideeeee!!"... "she's been here a month, how did you not know??!!" Because I gave up after two months...?! And then I'm asked to provide proof she's mine... fine... I pulled pictures and my lost pet post. Forwarded the lost pet post proving Id b

Don’t bother with this place you will NOT hear a WORD from anyone! And they are NOT open to the public, no one answers the phones and they don’t even return emails!! Never seen a shelter that operates like this!! Typically will at LEAST get an EMAIL response! Do NOT recommend

The entire staff here is SO nice and helpful. They were very excited for us to take Scuff home and he is a perfect addition to our little family❤️

My partner and I just adopted a sweet kitty from Westfield Animal Control. I cannot say enough about how they care for the animals. The space is kept very clean/safe and Terri does an incredible job of vetting potential adopters. She even sent us home with one of his blankets and toys from the shelter to ensure he was traveling with his scent. Thanks to Westfield, we now live with the perfect cat who is loving and calm in his new digs. There are some really great cats there who are ready for a new home. Someone please adopt Scuff for me!! ;)
