West Valley Animal Shelter

Excellent experience so far with their community cat/TNR program. They do trap rentals for a period of 2 weeks at a time and allow volunteers to bring in 1 adult cat every other business day. It works so great for my schedule to not have to trap every cat all at once, and instead be able to trap and drop off the cats at my convenience during the week. The Community Cat Coordinator, Genevieve, is awesome at returning calls and answering questions. I especially appreciate that I'm not responsible for the cost of the spay/neuter and it's all funded by the state. I am low-income and this is the best option for someone in my position who wouldn't otherwise be able to help these street cats. It's also inspiring to see how many people are bringing in community cats for TNR. Thank you to everyone

The Shelter was great! They were offering free microchipping with a New licence, so I took my Pitbull down and now he's all fixed up, and the helpers were awesome! Thanks for your service!

I have been in town for 2 weeks on work business and missed my fur babies. I came here to cuddle on some cats and it was just what I needed!

This is a great place. They offered me free bags of dog food to help me out with my puppy. Very grateful for them in a time of need. Great customer service. Awesome experience!

Honestly, I thought yesterday was a one-off, but this place is kind of mean. I came in to adopt a kitten and I did, but the poor thing is going to be left alone during some hours of the day because my classes start soon and I wanted to get her a buddy to slowly introduce them to each other so she would have someone to play with as she adjusts to my home. Kittens are also recommended in pairs, so I figured it made sense and I should adopt another cat that I fell in love with. The day before, the staff seemed pretty meh about everything, but they helped me adopt so I didn’t really care. I came back today for another kitten and they said that I had to wait 30 days to adopt another cat, which I guess makes sense, despite everything I read and what my veterinarian said. but the way they handle
