Rudy loves coming to see his friends at West Lancaster Animal Hospital, especially because they always have cheese for him :) Finding a great vet was a priority for us whenever we adopted Rudy, and we are so grateful to have been recommended WLAH by the rescue where we got him. It's easy to make an appointment, they are so helpful with any and all questions that we have, and they take great care of our sweet boy!

I’m so glad I found a vet that truly understands anxious dogs. Both my dog and I have had traumatic vet experiences in the past, so finding a practice with a genuine fear-free philosophy has been life-changing. From the moment we arrived, the staff’s approach put us both at ease. They were soft-spoken and gentle, giving him plenty of treats throughout the visit and taking time to talk me through every step. What impressed me most was how skillfully they handled muzzling him—they did it quickly and effectively without causing any stress or fear. He stayed tense but never became overstimulated or aggressive, which is huge for us. I honestly didn’t think he’d tolerate vaccines without snapping, but their patience and compassion made it possible. If you have an anxious dog, I can’t recommend

Wonderful, attentive staff. I never feel rushed through the appointment and they actively listen to any comments or concerns regarding our pets. It is a little expensive, but I also consider the vaccines and overhead it takes to operate an animal hospital. (divide that fee into 12 months for protection and care!) Very friendly staff.

West Lancaster Animal Hospital has been my dog’s vet for many years for regular exams and check ups. However, no longer!! My dog had to have a dental surgical procedure removing several teeth. WLAH’s estimate was $5,000! I asked them to please work with us on estimate and they didn’t budge. I did research to find another local animal hospital who specializes in same surgery and ended up paying $873.00 at St Francis Animal Hospital in Mountville. They were amazing too! I also received estimates from multiple other animal hospitals for around the same price. Needless to say I’m very disappointed and distraught that WALH are significantly over charging their patients. So please be aware and check other animal hospitals first before throwing away your money!

I have a Labrador retriever who injured her tail, I called like 6 vets around my area but they did where not accepting any new furry patients until 1 or 2 months also other animal hospitals around my area had a 4-6 hour wait , I felt so overwhelmed, then the last call I made was to this office and they where so kind, they gave me price range they saw my dog the same day and they treated her so kind like she was their own pet 🥺❤️ also it was really on point they gave me the appointment for 11:15 am and 11:10 am the dog was already being treated, I will definitely be going back. And prices affordable. I really recommend this animal hospital
