We took our cat to West Boca Veterinary Center as a kitten about 10 years ago and loved it there. Sadly, we moved out of the area for a while so she was somewhere else. We just moved back to the Boca Raton area this year and our kitty, now 10 years old, started having weird symptoms like overeating/drinking water excessively, and struggling to walk with shaky back legs. She was very lethargic and not herself. We brought her to West Boca Veterinary, where Dr. Kuehnel and his team were able to do blood tests and provided us with the tools to take a urine sample - in less than a week, Dr. Kuehnel was able to determine our lil baby has feline diabetes and what route she needed to take for meds and treatment. I have debated leaving this review as I have been going to WBVC with now 3 dogs for 10+ years. I've spent thousands of dollars but done so because I was always happy with their service and staff. I scheduled a neuter procedure for December back in July for my new puppy which required a $150 deposit. WBVC sent me over an estimated quote for the procedure. As the surgery date became closer, it was not sitting right with me how expensive the surgery was. It was almost doubled the price of my other dog's spay surgery there 3 years prior. I called into WBVC to get some explanation on the price and see if there was any price matching on what other vets around us were charging as there was a big difference. This week I took my cat Pierre to the vet because I was worried that he might have a UTI. The vet tech Brenna Kitts helped me along every step of the way with instructions for going home, on what to look for, and how to give how medicine. When I took Pierre home I had to collect a pee sample using a special litter but he did not like the litter. I called and Brenna guided me with the whole process. Pierre refused to use the special litter and I brought him the next day for him to stay until they got a urine sample. Brenna made me feel like Pierre was in the best of care . Thankfully Pierre did not have a UTI and it was just an irritated bladder. Brenna truly cares about your pets and made the whole experience way less stressful.
