I've been trying for days to get a hold of someone and the calls go directly to voice mail and then the voice mail is full so I cant even leave a message. Online it says open 24 hrs a day but I went by yesterday and it was closed. Isn't this city funded? Why is there no one to help? I understand the problem we have of strays in the rgv but whats the point of having this location if no one is ever there to help? This is the 2nd bad experience I have with this place. I have pets of my own otherwise id foster the dogs that are abandoned in my neighborhood but I can't not only because of my own pets but now the new laws that have passed that I can get cited for feeding strays. If you're going to help..then HELP.

very bad services. wouldn’t take in a stray that needed help. NO ONE HAS BEEN AT THE PHONE FOR 3 HRS. this kitten needs help and they won’t help her. not even 24 hrs. DO BOR GO HERE!!!

NONE. OF. THE. NUMBERS. WORK. They don't want you to reach them. You can't reach them. I got after hours emergency to transfer me and it's a constant loop of "this number isn't in service" and "this extension cannot be reached". Keep your animals away from this place.

This place is a joke! I sent them a message on Facebook asking about a certain dog. I asked how much the dog was and if it was still available. They said it was still available and she was free. I asked how she was with other dogs and the never responded. I asked again and was left on read. The third time I asked I said I need to know how she is around other dogs because I wasn’t going to drive from Arizona to get her all the way in Texas a 1,200+ mile trip to find out she’s not good with other dogs, needless to say I was left on read again. So I wouldn’t bother going here. It’s not complicated to answer a simple question.

Animal control took two of my dogs and now they want $200 EACH to return them , but they initially told us there'd be no charge since it was a minor incident which occurred in my own home and didn't even involve the dogs being on the street.
