Well Groomed Pets - Layton

Would not recommend! Overall not very happy with the Well Groomed. I had an appointment scheduled at 2 pm so I brought my 2 dogs in at 2pm. I got a text at 3:59 pm that they had finished bathing the dogs and were about to start their haircut… so they were sitting in a kennel 2 hours before they started the grooming?? As far as the actual haircut the did okay, cut them shorter than I would like and said they were matted (they weren’t, I bathe and brush them often). And the part I am most upset with is both of my dogs have clipper burn on their groin areas. I won’t be bringing them back.

They do an amazing job with my Siberian Husky! The staff is incredibly friendly and very professional. They truly go above and beyond their normal line of duty, and it shows in the care they give. I always feel confident leaving my dog with them, and he comes back looking great every time. Highly recommend Well Groomed in Layton!

We had such a wonderful experience with Well Groomed in Layton! From the moment we walked in, the service was professional, welcoming, and incredibly organized. Communication was excellent — they explained everything clearly, listened to my concerns, and made sure I felt comfortable with the grooming plan for my Golden Retriever. I’ve taken my dog to this groomer five times and always had good experiences until our visit on Nov. 22. When I picked him up, I was told he had “just a little cut” and that they put a powder on it, and I was charged full price. Once we got home, I saw the wound was actually deeper than described, with a small area of skin missing. He was very stressed, wouldn’t let us touch near it, and kept stopping to lick it whenever he tried to run. Nothing was offered other than a brief “sorry,” and when I called afterward, I was told the owner would follow up, but no one reached out. This experience made me question the level of care he received during this appointment.

I just picked up my pup, Guenther (yes, named after the Mammoth hockey player!), after his first full groom. The picture speaks for itself! My groomer, Phoenix, does a fantastic job with both my pups. He listens to me and clarifies before he begins. He recommends certain lengths based on what he thinks I will like best. I appreciate this because this is the first time I have had this breed. What sold me from the very beginning with this salon was the windows. You can see your dog being groomed from your car! This tells me that they are a “transparent” company.. they hire groomers that are going to treat your dog kindly. Love this place.. it’s a family owned business.
