I Highly Recommend the Waxhaw Animal Hospital for Any & Everyone Who Loves they're Family Pets. ,, Whether Dogs or Cats etc. Dr.Burtis and her Staff, are the best. My first time going there was about 3 months ago ,with my 7 year old female pitbull ,Zena. ,she was in very bad condition , like near death,, from a tumor on her lower intestines she was diagnosed with 2 months prior. But on this day her blood cell count dropped so low she almost died. She was weak and collapsed while on our regular walk. The time was 5:45 pm when I came in with my family and our Emergency! 15 minutes before closing! staff members saw Zena's condition and right away took her into they're care (Thank You So Much !!! They hoard animals and refuse to adopt them out. The lead tech Keenan keeps a “pet” groundhog in the tiniest dark cage in a corner and she hardly ever gets out. He claims she’s an “ambassador” It’s mortifying. A lonely guinea pig they won’t let anyone take and won’t get him another friend. The list goes on. I hope more people start to notice what they’re doing is wrong!

They take great care of my pet rats here! My one boy needed surgery, and they took care of him the same day that I called. He ended up getting a fever a week later, and they took him in again right away. They remain happy, healthy, and silly boys thanks to the care they received here. The staff really care about your beloved pets' wellbeing, and I can't recommend them enough!

Excellent experience at this vet office! The doctor has a calm and knowledgeable presence. She helped Buddy so much! The staff is professional and gentle. Great place, all around.

Amazing facilities!!! We got a rescue cat and the previous owners registered him here. We are so happy they did. They send us update reminders, informations and when our cat has an “issue” we get in really fast! They have an amazing record track. Our cat had ONE reaction to a vaccination and since then they track it. Amazing staff, friendly doctors and super transparent.
