If I could, I would give Dana twice as many stars. I have a rescue who was not socialized when she was young. She was dumped in the woods when she was born, rescued at 3 months by some little kids, and then in a shelter until 8 months old. She was scared of absolutely everything when I got her. I first tried one of the residential training programs, but some of the means they used were detrimental to a dog that was already fearful of everything. Lucky for me, I kept running into Dana training other dogs in the neighborhood, and after numerous conversations, decided to give her a chance. I highly recommend Dana! She is amazing with the dogs and with the humans! She has a very gentle approach to training and you can really see the changes in your dog almost immediately. She teaches you how to understand your dog and how to be the best dog parent. She came to help us with a very rambunctious (and cute) 6mo Bernedoodle who was nibbling, jumping and taking over our house. Now we have a dog that actually listens to commands without loosing his spunkiness, and puppy energy. Training is a constant work and we know we can count on Dana if we ever need her again! I have used Bark & Purr’s pet sitting services since 2020 (3 years!) Dana (the owner) has taken care of my 2 cats over several trips and has always done an amazing job.
