It can be difficult, leaving your beloved Pet in someone else’s hands when you travel because they are such a big part of our lives. But the knowledge that your loved one will be cared for as per your instructions and that when you return, they will be healthy, happy and safe is such a great blessing. As a sidenote, I knew she’d be happy to see me, but I was surprised when she had to go around and say goodbye to everybody there before we could leave.

We have happily used this kennel a few times, and I want to write about my most recent experience. After a 4 day stay, one of my dogs came home with some illness that left her extremely sick for a few days, necessitating a overnight stay at our Vet for monitoring. Whole that is obviously not the ideal scenario, it does happen at kennels. The 5 star review is for how Andy cared for us and our dog once finding out she was sick. He was available for any phone call, was invested in hearing about the diagnosis and recovery, as well as asking if there were more ways he could help. His care is a true testament to the business he runs - one that doesn't just provide what you pay for, but one that's there for you if something doesn't go as planned. Great people and great business to support.

I always have a great experience boarding my dog here. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I am more at ease while traveling knowing that she is in good hands. They've also been accommodating with last-minute changes to my reservation, if needed.

My dogs have been boarding at Wakefield for years. They love it, always happy when we pull up. The managers Jennifer and Charlie are the best. I never worry when my dogs are in their care. Groomer Amy is a saint and my dogs love her! They used to be petrified of groomers until they met Amy. I have seen a few reviews posting ugly and fictitious statements about Wakefield and I can assure you as a customer for over 8 years the owners and employees love your dogs while they are there and treat them as their own. All other negative comments that have been posted are untrue and just an attempt to slander a reputable company for their own gain. The owner Andy is always accommodating and kind. I highly recommend Wakefield Kennel to board your dog and for all grooming needs! Absolutely love this

Our dog LOVES coming here! She runs to the staff with wagging tail at drop off. Have been using them for 10 years, great, long term team that cares about your dogs and give GREAT customer service. Have a new dog and love that we can kennel them together in an extra large suite with deluxe bedding and daily activities. Always end our stays with a bath and nail clipping.
