My dog had a nasty corneal ulcer that did not heal after basic treatment. His vet recommended Vision Care for Animals, and I couldn’t be happier. My dog hates the vet, but they were so gentle, kind, and loving that he was as calm as he could be on their table. After a procedure, I received follow up calls and the option to text in case of questions. They clearly know what they’re doing. Now, he’s fully healed and happy as a clam. Thank you to the entire Vision Care for Animals team for all the incredible work you do! Highly recommend this place.

I am not happy with Vision Care for Animals' lack of price transparency. For my first visit a couple of years ago in 2023, it was clear that there was a hefty one-time initial exam fee of $365 and that follow-up visits would be $145. I was concerned about the prices being expensive, but I wanted to make sure I did my best to address my dog's eye problems. When I completed my second visit in 2023, I was surprised to learn that the $145 follow-up exam fee I was quoted was an a la carte price and did not include additional amounts for exams such as the extra $39 tier film break-up time test ("TFBUT") whereas the initial exam fee was a bundled price. I found this to be annoying, but I had already invested a decent amount, so I figured I'd say the course. I needed to come back for my third

My dog recently had a small eyelid margin mass removed (meibomian gland adenoma) at a different veterinary office. The vet placed two sutures on her eyelid, but the top suture was very close to her eye and may have caused an abrasion and a small pinhole on her cornea. After four follow-up visits, the vet recommended a corneal debridement to aid healing. However, I wasn’t fully convinced why that was needed, so I requested a referral to an eye specialist. Dr. Patrick and his team were able to see us the very next day. The visit was low-stress for my dog, the staff was friendly, and we left with much-needed peace of mind. Dr. Patrick confirmed that her cornea had healed, though some tissue loss had occurred, and he recommended no further treatment—what a relief! I’m incredibly grateful that

This is our main ophthalmologist in the peninsula for our eye infection prone pug. Getting an appointment can be difficult, even in urgent cases BUT the staff is always willing to send a telephone report to their physicians and call back with next steps. Every time we call they ask a hundred questions to ensure they have the most detailed and accurate information to pass along to the doctors. (Thank you for being thorough!) We are currently traveling out of state and having a small eye issue with our dog - they are helping remotely and providing guidance. Thanks for all you do!

Only good things to say. Our dog went through glaucoma over the course of 1.5 years, and the entire time everyone at Vision Care for Animals was great. They were responsive, made sure we had appointments, and fit us in promptly for surgery and emergencies.
