V.I.Pets Plainfield (Jillians Exotics LLC)

I have been in the fish keeping hobby for over 15 years. There is no place I trust more than this store for all my aquatic necessities. I’m usually greeted with a warm welcome and feel totally comfortable while I browse. It is because of this store that my Wife is now as deeply involved in this hobby as I am! Everything in the pictures below has been sourced from VI Pets. I’ll let the pictures do the talking…. Hanna and her team has been absolutely amazing! Thank you all for EVERYTHING you do, and the advice you give!

We went down to adopt our Two Guinea pigs. The staff and owner were knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. The animals in the shop were very clearly loved and taken care of appropriately. Our Guineas were happy and clean. We will definitely go back for other purchases in the future.

Really nice local pet store with plenty of options for taking care of various pets and exotics. They have everything from bearded dragons to chinchillas. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, eager to help. The one thing I’ll say, seeing the betta fish in tiny bowls is extremely upsetting, especially with the sign they have stating that betta fish NEED 10 gallon tanks (which I’m glad they’re educating people). However, they’re holding them in tiny little cups… even right under the sign stating what they need… very contradictory. Please do better with your betta fish, they deserve to be happy and healthy, no matter how small they are! (Note: you all seem to really care about your other animals, which is why I feel passionate giving you this feedback.)

If I could give more stars, I would! Jillian, the owner, went above and beyond to help us with a situation we had. She truly cares about her customers, which is amazing. In this world of Amazon, it is so important to support our amazing local business owners and I cannot recommend VI Pets enough. I have been to both of her locations, Plainfield & Cutlerville and they are both great. All of the staff was so incredibly knowledgeable and helpful as well!!

Best pet store around! We’ve been going in for a long time for other pet supplies and asking questions about bearded dragons, everyone has always been so kind to talk to us. We finally got our sweet baby boy this past week. Jenny was so so helpful making sure we got all the right supplies lighting, food, eco set up etc. The other girl (can’t remember her name) has been so helpful on how to keep his roaches alive and they are more than willing to answer all our questions and give great guidance! We’ve been in seeing them feed the animals, handle them, talk to them and genuinely care about all the animals in their shop, I would never go somewhere else!
