Viking Veterinary Hospital Idaho Falls Emergency

Our dog broke a toe yesterday while we were traveling through MT. Once we got reception we looked for an emergency vet that could get us in quickly to properly assess the injury. We chose Viking Vet hospital and are so happy we did! They got her in quickly, confirmed the fracture with x-rays, splinted her leg, and sent us on our way with meds and recommendations in very little time. We especially appreciated how friendly and kind everyone was! Price estimates were reasonable and there were no hidden charges. They also referred us to an orthopedic surgeon if we wanted a second opinion. Overall, it was an excellent experience and we’re very grateful that we found this hospital. Highly recommended! (As a bonus we love the extra touches on her splint.)

I recently took my dog in cause she was in obvious pain and ultimately had to leave without her. I had someone with me who was just there for support. I was very vocal about wanting my dog cremated and receiving her ashes upon completion. It was a hectic, emotional, and overwhelming night. After going home and processing the best I could, I called the clinic to double check that they were aware of my wishes. They proceeded to tell me that the person who was with me.. JUST TO BE A SUPPORT.. actually went in and picked my dead dog up to take her some place else to be cremated. They never called me to get my consent, double check that it was what I wanted, or informed me of this matter at all. Even though our visit to Viking vet was for a sad reason, this place deserves a 10 star review. We had to put my little chihuahua down, it was the hardest decision I've ever made. But, everyone at Viking Vet was so beyond kind and sympathetic. They took good care of my sweet baby before and after. They let us have time to say goodbye and to grieve. Then they send us a card with a beautiful poem about crossing the rainbow vet. This place truly cares about animals and their owners. Highly recommend Viking if you're looking for a place that cares.

Viking was extremely kind, compassionate and understanding while I made the hard decision of putting my dear kitty down. Dr Hall knew what I needed before I said anything verbally. If you need a local pet ER I strongly recommend Viking veterinary hospital. They're in Nampa and IF. The receptionist was very kind too! They even let me use a phone charger while I waited for Foxie's test results.

In my opinion, THIS VET CLINIC IS DESTRUCTFUL TO OUR COMMUNITY. This is what happened we brought our cat to these tyrannical people, with a broken leg. They demanded a $1200 deposit before they would even look at the cat. When they received their giant deposit they said they would probably give some of the deposit back. They X-ray-ed the leg and said they were not qualified to do the surgery and I would have to find a surgeon. They wrapped the leg in a temporary bandage and sent the cat back with us , when I demanded some or my deposit back they explained that they operate like an emergency room and because they are emergency the can charge more money. We decided to go to a more confident vet clinic in Blackfoot and they casted the cats leg and charged me $275 and the cat recovered and
