When I first heard about Veterinary Behavior Consultants I was really excited as I thought this would be perfect for my very anxious dog who was unable to meet strangers. I was able to get a consult a few months out which wasn't a big problem at the time and the first meeting was us taking our dog to them and them talking with us and asking questions. This seemed to go really well and they said we'd have a video call in a week. There were two parts to the video call. Part 1, Dr Martin went over a plethora of new and/or higher dosages of medications for my dog, even though I had already voiced that I'd love to wean him off of medications, if possible, at our first meeting.
