Vetco Vaccination Clinic

I scheduled a rabies vaccination for a Sunday at 12:40, the last appointment of the day, but I didn't get there until 12:52 because I went to the wrong Petco first. They gave my cat his shot anyway, which was awesome because I really didn't want to have to wrestle him into the carrier again. I apologized profusely for being late, and they were very kind and understanding. My regular vet is closed on weekends, and I would have had to pay for an office visit on top of the cost of the vaccine, so this option is way more convenient and cost-effective.

Booking online is easy, but the check in process at the store is cumbersome because the person checking people in doesn’t know how to use the iPad and moves VERY slow. Wasn’t seen until 45 minutes past our appointment time. Vet was wonderful and techs were wonderful - just need a new check in person. This is the second clinic I’ve gone to in the last month and had the exact same experience with the same check in person. If she continues to be employed with Vetco, there needs to be a new check in process where pet owners can complete their pet info themselves, even before hand.

The guy that checked us in was great, when he told us to go to the other guy who was going to give my dog her shot he was scared of pitbulls and said he wouldn't do the shot. He didn't talk my dog or offer a treat or anything he saw her and was hesitant to walk over and was scared keeping his distance and so my dog barked at him.. and refused to do the shot. Then had the nerve to say " he probably hates men".. 1. My dog is a SHE 2. She doesnt hate men at all she has at least 5 male human friends shes very close with and doesn't bark at any of them, she loves kids and women and all types of people . This guy was scared and had zero experience with animals, needs a new job. Definitely would never suggest this clinic to anyone. Unless you have a mini poodle or Chihuahua because the definitely

Your staff was so knowledgeable and helpful when it came to Ella Mai, my mini Doxy. I had questions, they had answers. They were gentle with her, even though she was shaking, cause she was nervous. My appointment only took a few minutes. We walked around for 10 to see the results of our test and then we were on our way out the door they were very Wonderful and courteous staff.

If you look through my Google Reviews, you will see that I only provide positive reviews. If I have a negative experience that might make some write a bad review, I reach out to the business directly. That always has the best outcome for both me and the business. (Quite frankly, it is my pet peeve when someone writes a bad review over something that could have been solved if they reached out to the business instead.) That being said, I do not know how to reach out to management at this Petco, so I am writing this review in hopes that they will see it. My wife and I went to the Vetco here, needing a rabies vaccine booster for our three cats. We found a dead baby bat in the morning that was clearly killed by a cat (or cats). We immediately called the MN Department of Health for guidance. T
