Having never been to a pet emergency care center, I was expecting a reception counter, waiting room, and a locked door leading to the behind-the-scenes care rooms, so I was super impressed with the in-the-moment care provided to pets in a triage set-up that looks like a real emergency room, including intake screens. I was even more impressed with the levels of care and communication I experienced and observed throughout my stay. Our veterinarian recommended this specific business and location and I couldn't be more grateful. My cat needed a blood panel plus ultrasound, and I was welcomed to be in the room with her during the entire procedure. I accidentally deleted my first review when trying to post my second review from my phone, so posting two for one. This place is amazing! Last year we were in Florida for a big dog show and one of my dogs suddenly seemed 'not quite right'. That was literally the only thing I had to go on, she was a little hesitant to eat a treat. I brought her to VEG and they took my concerns seriously, despite See Ya appearing pretty fine. Within a short time it was clear that she was anemic, and very quickly went from bad to worse. Their care of her was nothing short of amazing, and the VEG approach made a very stressful experience as good as possible. In the middle of the night, when we were scared and didn’t know what to do, they received us with kindness, compassion, and true humanity. Cucho’s leg was swollen, infected, and bleeding badly, but they acted quickly and took such good care of him. They treated him with so much respect and gave us all the medicines and instructions we need to help him recover. We also want to thank our wonderful neighbors for their support and concern. Harley and I were in town visiting family when he developed pancreatitis and needed to be hospitalized. This was scary as we were away from home and our primary vet. Thank you to Dr. Adams, Dr. Wachman, Dr. Slaughter, Dr. Thompson, and Dr. Schutt, who helped care for Harley. I could tell everyone truly cared about Harley’s well-being, and I trusted their decisions 100%. Dr. Thompson really went above and beyond for me and Harley. It was heartbreaking and scary seeing my pup so sick with pancreatitis. However, she constantly reassured me and even offered me chocolate while Harley had his NG tube placed. VEG ER for Pets thank you for saving Dave when he had critical hemorrhagic issues. He is definitely an “extra spicy” guy but your staff was always professional. You supplied me with a private room to stay with him and allowed me to put him in the kennel before I had to leave to handle my own patients. I felt very confident with Dr Wachman and her staff in Winter Park Florida. I also appreciate the box of crumble cookies!
