High praise for the amazing staff that works here. They truly care for their patients as if it was their own pet. They are compassionate caregivers, authentic individuals, and excellent communicators. I came here b/c my senior dog was suffering from congestive heart failure. The team provided immediate, emergent care which gave my girl a fighting chance. If not for the wonderful staff, she would have passed away. My dog had to stay overnight due to breathing issues and to be observed. I went home that night and the staff provided me with detailed updates whenever I called. Additionally, in the day time, I was able to visit and stay kennel-side with my girl as she recovered. They gave me after-care instructions and all the necessary medications. I cannot say enough positive things about the team at this emergency veterinary center. I brought my dog in extremely sick after he had swallowed a foreign object that became lodged in his intestines, and from the moment I arrived, the entire staff treated me with such kindness, compassion, and professionalism. What stood out to me most was how welcoming everyone was. By the time I left, it honestly felt like they knew me as if we were family. I am so incredibly grateful that I found this ER vet clinic. I had to bring in our Chihuahua because she was experiencing tummy discomfort, and from the very first phone call I felt reassured. Before we even arrived, they texted me a pre entry form to complete, which made the check-in process smooth and stress-free. From start to finish, the entire team was compassionate, professional, and genuinely kind. Dr. Catto was thorough, patient, and took the time to explain everything clearly so I felt comfortable and informed. As a “frequent flyer” to VEG Nanuet, thanks to my two big mischievous pups, I feel extremely confident in the work they do to turn a stressful situation into a calm one. They embody great skill, professionalism and provide warmth to their patients. They really care and do amazing work! Today one of my pups ate a few chicken wings from the garbage. Labs find a way! Words can’t express my gratitude to Dr. Havinga and the amazing team at VEG Veterinary Emergency Group. My Cane Corso, Sir Night Roman, went through over 8 hours of surgery with very slim chances — but because of their incredible care, skill, and compassion, he’s still here fighting today.
