VEG ER for Pets

I cannot express enough gratitude for Dr. Phillips and the entire staff at VEG Jacksonville. While traveling away from home, our 12-year-old Pit Bull, Blue, had a medical emergency. Even though we lost him that night, the team tried everything to save him while also prioritizing our comfort in a strange town. The open-concept design and private rooms allowed us to make decisions for Blue with peace and calmness. I will be forever grateful for those final, private moments. That night, the staff also took the time to create black ink imprints of Blue’s nose and paws, a gesture of kindness we didn't fully realize the importance of until later. This morning was a pet owner’s nightmare — my dog got into my granddaughter’s Halloween candy bag and ate way more chocolate/candy than I care to admit. We rushed to VEG ER for Pets, and from the moment we arrived, the staff jumped into action with care and compassion that far exceeded my expectations. Preston, the vet tech, was calm, professional, and incredibly kind to both me and my very scared pup. He explained every step clearly and helped put us both at ease. Dr. Floren was exceptional — thorough, patient, and genuinely caring. He provided fast, expert treatment and made sure my dog received the best possible care to get the chocolate (and wrappers!) out of her system safely. My buddy needed medical attention, I went to VEG er, 3/06/2026. Dr. Phillips and her staff were attentive and made sure my dog and myself were comfortable with what was going on. I cannot give these people enough praise. From the moment I walked in with Huck Thursday evening, to the time I got to take him home, and our multiple calls since, the people here have been angels. I spent quite a bit of time here in the last few days with a hooligan who ate sand. 🤦‍♀️ I watched multiple traumas come in and the care and compassion I witnessed was top notch. The place was full to the brim with people and way busier than I'm sure they would have liked, but they were kind and compassionate even still. They were efficient and kept me in the loop even when it was busy. I was offered drinks, snacks, and coffee. I have called and bothered them multiple times I left and they have been kind and patient. When coming back to pick up some meds we were met by the majority of the staff

Dr. Vetter and the entire staff were amazing. You can tell that everyone here actually cares about th pets in their care. They’re all gentle and so kind and really help make stressful situations better. Thank you to the entire team. Our kitten they helped, Elphie, is feeling much better now!
