VCA Santa Monica Dog and Cat Hospital

Alright: I regret the previous review. I jumped the gun. Today (Fed 1st) got a call from Patty at VCA Sta Monica. She listen to me… which was quite.. refreshing! I super appreciated it. She heard me out. She took it like a pro she is. In short: I’m relieved to learn reviews are reviewed and VCA is on top of them and in turn committed to their customers. So five stars it is. I spend an average of 5 to 6k yearly on this one VCA location. Inevitably, the feeling is -at the end of the day- the only thing they really care is to find ways to squeeze the most money out of you. The minute I find a vet that puts pets first, I will never ever set foot on vca again.

Gave my dog an expired heartworm shot this time last year. The tech who administered was honest enough to admit. But managers became very defensive. Fast forward a year, no other vet provides the 1 year heartworm shot (both my new vet and the vca near me do not), so I tried to schedule to go back here. They refused service. Due to their own negligence. I should have and should still file malpractice complaint. Extreme negligence, no regards for decency.

Our first ever vet experience and Dr. Hubbard and the staff were amazing! Our dog was made very comfortable during the exam. We were recommended by our friends and so happy with our first visit.

When we first stepped into the hospital, greeted with smiles by Andrea. My cat had an appointment with Dr. Hubbard, I made the morning of online. Dr. Hubbard went the extra mile to help solve my cats problem, she was very knowledgeable. The manager came to greet us. Thank you VCA SMDC for helping my cat through this tough time

It’s hard to find the perfect way to express the gratitude and praise our family feels for VCA Santa Monica Cat & Dog. Drs Johnson, Hubbard, and staff have showed our dog and family so much compassion and professionalism over the years that our dog Bogart was in their care. Dr Johnson was his primary Dr, and again no words can express the gratitude we feel having her by our side as he fought a cancer battle he sadly recently lost. Saying goodbye is so hard, yet Dr Johnson sat, cried, and shared Bogart stories, making something so hard to face a truly peaceful passing. Our family thanks you Dr Johnson for being the best Dr, diagnostician, and compassionate Veteran any family is fortunate enough to have care for the pet they love so much.
