VCA Del Lago Animal Hospital

Everyone here is so kind and patient with my dog, Tank. He has bad anxiety every time he needs updated shots which in turn gives me anxiety when we visit. That being said, everyone goes above and beyond to show Tank compassion and patience every visit which makes things just a little bit easier. I would recommend VCA Del Lago to anyone needing loving pet care.

The staff is over the top helpful and understanding. Our dog is extremely fearful and even medicated it’s impossible to get her checked out. The doctors and staff are understanding and patient to work with her. They listened to my concerns and not dismissive or “per protocol” but tailored to our situation to make sure she was treated and not tortured.

*Update* I was contacted by the district manager, who was very kind and apologetic about how things were handled. She offered to run the test if I bring in a new sample. False hours, frequent early closures if doc leaves/calls out. Manager named Alex is dismissive; no accountability, even for pet harm. Submitted dog’s urine within 30-day limit; at drop-off, told it must be less than 24 hours old (not mentioned in initial visit). Second try: closed at 4 PM (advertised being open until 5:30 PM). Claimed they texted 2-week heads-up, but none received. Third submission: 45th day, refuse acceptance or fixes for their errors.

Cassie and Jordan were amazing and so helpful! Got my little guy feeling all better :) The veterinarian who saw him was so kind and very informative as well. Will definitely be back next time my guy needs a checkup!!

Our dachshunds were always treated extremely well here. Landa and Dr. Comeaux are always willing to go the extra mile for their patients and pet parents, even when they don't have to. Erica has always been very helpful as well. Although Del Lago is owned by VCA, it still has the service and camaraderie you'd expect from an independent vet. The staff here can't control the prices set by VCA, but they are truly wonderful people that prioritize the well being of their patients above everything else. I will always recommend this vet for Scottsdale dog owners!
