Valdosta Animal Shelter

I went with an open mind and let the staff know I work from home so needed a more relaxed dog. I am so happy with my new family dog. He is the perfect bouncy puppy who is also relaxed when I have to work. He came home with a spiffy collar and dog treats/food. They do so much for these sweet pets.

I highly recommend adopting from Valdosta Animal Shelter. The staff was amazing and very kind and helpful. Shout out to Mike and Hannah for all the help and support. The adoption process was easy and stress free. They also provided food to help with the transition, a free toy and a Petco coupon book. If anyone has the ability to welcome a new pet into their home, please adopt from the animal shelter. There's so many animals that need a loving home. If I could I would adopt them all, but together we can make a difference.

I'm from out of town and saw a dog on pet finder that I wanted to adopt. I stopped in and they let me see her immediately and were very nice, asking if I had any questions or wanted to spend more time with her. I came back the next day and adopted her! All of the staff were super friendly in the process, and the dog is so sweet! I had to sign a bit of paperwork and pay an $80 fee (very very reasonable when you look at other shelters and consider that the dog comes with all her shots and she was spayed) and we were good to go! They gave me food to take home to help her transition and they asked if I needed any help or information of any sort. The only reason I gave the one star is because of the wonderful greeting that I got when I first got there I went in the wrong door and went into the front to drop off a kitten that was abandoned and she was very polite and such a positive attitude I apologized for coming in the wrong door she assured me I was fine a gave me directions on where I needed to go.as I walked into the entrance I was suppose to drop this lil kitten of at I was not so warmly told to go and fill out paperwork by a rude girl I didn't catch her name short and brown hair mid thirties maybe younger doubt it tho. I adopted a puppy from here, very sweet people who clearly love these animals. They made the adoption process very easy and were very communicative when I emailed before hand.
