Val Verde Animal Hospital

Switched to Dr Hord after my dog being diagnosed with congestive heart failure over 3 years ago and me getting fed up with my other vet not taking the time to explain things well enough. Friendly staff who always remember my dog, and friendly and knowledgeable vet who always takes extra time to explain your pets health to you. Heres a pic of the big guy, with congestive heart failure, past liver issues, and past kidney issues all being appropriately treated over the past 3 years.

I have went here for a couple years, Dr.Hord is/was amazing always. But unfortunately on Monday- I had to put my dog down and in that enough is upsetting but having Jenny the X-RAY tech coming in to tell me what I was doing was wrong and to surrender him. He was 15, internally bleeding, and just ready to go. Having him for almost 13 years I think I knew him best rather than someone who met him for 15 minutes. I will not be coming back.

Val Verde is the best! I’ve had nothing but the best care & service here. It’s very clear that Dr Hord genuinely loves animals. He answers all my questions (& then some 🤭) & he never tries to oversell a service I don’t need. I compared prices for a few big services & Val Verde was cheaper by 30%. I highly recommend Dr Hord & his team!

I'd been to several different vets trying to find the answer to my dog's problem that has been going on for years. I came across Val Verde and took her to there. I was absolutely satisfied with them. He answered all my questions and my dog and i left super happy. Very polite, never felt I was being rushed. I'd definitely recommend them.

Had to have our best friend euthanized today after 15 years of unconditional love. The receptionist, Renee, and Dr. Hord were extremely caring and did an excellent job. Renee was even thoughtful enough to take my credit card information before the procedure started so that I could leave immediately after. We've been going there about as long as they've been open and are extremely happy with them. Highly recommend!
