Vaca Valley Veterinary Hospital: Jassar H DVM

So lucky to have met this doctor through my cousin who is now managing his office. Doctor Jassar is one of the kindest persons I've ever talked to and not just about the pet situation. Just a good human. Always smiling, always willing to add extra information to the office visit. Straight forward and fees are decent. Other staff on top of their game and just as friendly. Through this whole pandemic they have been very professional and they meet you at your car , take your pet and then return your pet to you outside. Again, we feel very lucky to have our Wilby under their care!

My fur babies have been long time patients of this establishment and I am shocked and horrified at what happened today. I have a 7 year old lab mix that is not doing well. He has knee issues and for the last week he’s been struggling. I called for an appointment and gave them my dog’s symptoms. Heavy breathing, lethargy, and pale gums. The receptionist got back on the phone and told me that the doctor said to “put him down”! I am sitting here sobbing in tears and overwhelmed with the callous and unkind manner in which he dealt with me. I can’t imagine in what world it is ok to tell a person to euthanize their animal over the phone without having ever seen the dog. I will NEVER take an animal to this man again. And I suggest you don’t either.
