Dr. K is amazing. We just moved to the area and needed a new vet for our two kitties. My 4 year old cat Gimli has not done well at the vet in the past - he’s been extremely reactive and has made sounds I didn’t even know could come from a cat whenever anyone tried to vaccinate him. It was awful and stressful for both of us. Our experience with Dr. K at Oak Animal Hospital was completely different. She took her time with Gimli and really focused on what would work best for him. She mentioned she was willing to use our entire appointment slot if that’s what he needed to feel more comfortable. When it came time for his vaccines, he barely flinched. I was truly amazed. He did hiss a few times during the appointment, but nothing like the almost demonic sounds he’s made at our previous clinic.

My experiences have been wonderful w Dr Chen & staff. My dog loves to visit the helpers inside and cannot wait to have them quiz her & give her happy attention. She has been referred elsewhere when Dr Chen found that another place was more able or prepared or specialized in care that she needed at a necessary and important moment in time that Dr Chen examined her. Specifically, she was referred to UCDavis Vet Dept that helps dogs w serious problems that Dr Chen’s Hospital could not provide appropriate care for after her diagnosis and recommendation to go to UCDavis Vet Dept within their Vet School program. Dr Chen & UCD saved her life. She continues to have Circumstances that I appreciate Dr Chen following via appt and e-mail advice when necessary. She’s the best! The staff is the best!

Oak Animal Hospital is fabulous. Dr. Chen is the best Vet I have ever worked with. We are receiving holistic care that is customized to my needs and needs of each of my animals. No hard sells and no upsells. It’s clear that Dr. Chen and the whole team care so much about the animals and their well-being and that is their first priority. I trust them completely with my animals.

Dog in for annual check up and inoculations. Received wonderful care and exam by Dr. K who was professional, friendly and supportive of our questions. She took time to sit on the floor and talk to our dog to make her comfortable. Then took the time to explain everything she was doing. It was very comforting to have such personal experience. Thank you Dr. K. Then to top it off, it was all covered by the insurance we had purchased through there office.

I’ve been taking family dogs and my own dog here for years now. Dr K and Dr Chen go above and beyond every single time no matter how big or small the issue is at hand. The front desk is also very personable and remember my dog almost every time. Not only is everyone thorough but they’re friendly and helpful! Thankyou Oak Animal for keeping my girl healthy.
