In July, I adopted Supai, a truly feral puppy who had never lived inside a home. She was wild, unsure, and overwhelmed by everything around her. I honestly didn’t know if she would ever be able to live comfortably in a household setting. Our veterinarian referred us to Carlos because Supai needed both behavioral and obedience training, and that referral changed everything. We started with puppy training, and the difference was immediate. Supai began to understand structure, trust, and communication in a way I didn’t think was possible so quickly. Not gunna lie, when my wife talked about training our new dog and the cost associated with it, I was hesitant and skeptical. I can confidently say after having multiple untrained dogs as a kid that this experience was worth every penny. Carlos was great to work with and I can’t count how many times we’ve gotten compliments on our well behaved dog. Having a dog that actually does what we ask when we ask is a completely different experience. We have referred a number of people to Carlos and every one of them have been happy with the results. Can’t say enough great things about Carlos and his knowledge of training all breeds, sizes, and temperaments of dogs! We are a family of 6, were completely new to having a family pet and very lost when it came to where to even start with training our brand new pup! We started with Puppy Boot Camp to help our pup (and us) learn the basics… kennel training, sit, stay, place, socialization with the pack, heel, confidence and leash pressure. Owner/lead trainer Carlos K. took on my anxious 2 yr old ridgeback-lab mix (Bear). He managed to effectively train Bear to be comfortable with being uncomfortable, redirect his reactivity in a positive way and be very responsive to commands. I cannot stress enough how much Bear and my quality of life has improved now that I can have him around other animals without worrying that he will make a reactive choice. Rocco is a mini poodle who we got along with his brother at about five months. He had littermate syndrome and was impossible to work with he played keep away and was all over our house Had barking issues and no recall. He spent a lot of time with Carlos at Utah K9 Academy Which was a larger investment on our part, but it was worth every penny. There’s no way we could have corrected his behavioral issues given our busy schedule and our young kids. When we picked him up two days ago from training, he had become a perfect gentleman. He is perfectly behaved in the house has perfect recall and No issues being off leash.
