Tri-City Animal Shelter

I used to foster kittens for tri city animal shelter. Their staff was helpful, provided the training needed to administer medications, provided supplies and food and generally you can tell they love animals. We have two foster fails (we kept our pandemic foster kitties) and we absolutely love them. We can’t foster anymore but I highly recommend doing it because it helps the shelter and also you can get a feeling for how much effort it takes to care for a pet before it becomes a life long part of your family. It’s a win/win! Please don’t buy pets, ADOPT! Also when they come from the shelter you know they have their shots and are well taken care

We adopted our wonderful dog at Tri-City Animal Shelter. I thought the place itself looked very nice. It is in a nice location, and the outdoors has plenty of space for the dogs to stretch their legs and meet potential adopters. We met 2 dogs and they were both very nice, healthy looking, energetic dogs. The other dogs we saw coming in and out of the building also looked healthy and well-cared for. Our dog came home neutered, chipped, and equipped with a collar, leash, harness, medical history while at shelter, and some dog food. I only wish that Tri-City was open through Sunday, or 5 days a week.

Love this shelter! Seven years ago, I adopted my rabbit here during a Clear the Shelter event, and he’s still the (now ancient) king of my living room. This month, we were lucky enough to adopt our little Bertie, who is the sweetest, quietest, muppet-est puppy in the world. Thank you a thousand times to Susan and the team for being so good to us and Bertie. Everything was seamless - initial call, the puppy intro, the foster to adopt, their responsiveness, and the neuter appointment (this month they’re waiving adoption fees, so everything was covered!) You can just tell the team cares so much for these animals. We’re so happy with our new family member!!! Definitely would recommend this shelter!! After losing our wonderful pet of 14 years a little Doxiepoo. We were mourning the passing since last November and my family thought I could use a companion with my new disability and changes.. I was not sure I told my daughter let’s just donate to the shelter and help with the dogs. I took a tour then the last time we went my daughter wanted to take a tour, but we went too early and I don’t know what happened one thing to another next thing you know they showed my daughter and I a picture of Mia.
