We had the pleasure of working with Sara when we were experiencing aggression between our two female dogs (1 year old and 5 years old). After a bad fight, I reached out to Sara because we were scared and unsure of what to do. We received a lot of outside opinions, and some even suggested we should put our youngest down for attacking our other dog. We didn’t know much about female-to-female aggression in dogs, so the situation felt extremely overwhelming and frightening. We were looking for someone to help with our new little/big puppy “Simba” and was referred to Sara with Tranquil Dog through Foothills Canine Rescue. In the beginning we didn’t know what type of training he needed. We knew when we found Sara, we were in the right place. My Mom and I set up an appointment to see what she could offer. I have to say, this lady is amazing! She offers many different training and behavioral needs for all dogs. We decided to sign up for 3 full 8 hour days of training. Normally I don't trust five star reviews, but the quality of the positive reviews for this place got my attention, and I decided to try the basic obedience classes for my recent rescue, Boris. The value Sara provides is far more than the cost of the training sessions. Just the first session gave me an entirely new perspective of how my pup thinks and how I communicate with him. So thankful to have Sara here in Lenoir.

I thought I would never be able to get my 5 year old female rescued dog Roxie comfortable and relaxed with being around people and other dogs. We spent about 1 -1/2 hours with Sara owner of Tranquil Dog and she taught us exactly what Roxie needed to become a happier relaxed dog. If you have a dog/dogs that you have tried all types of training with and have had no success, don't give up on them. I highly recommend you take them to Tranquil Dog in Lenoir NC. I met Sara through Hartman’s Haven Animal Rescue when I needed guidance on a foster dog that was having severe PTSD. Sara worked closely with the rescue and was able to give me practical advise that helped greatly. She even worked with the adopters to address ongoing issues and now the dog is a wonderful, well adjusted member of the family. Fast forward to May when I adopted a 3 year old pug, Tucker, with anxious, reactive behaviors. I called on Sara and by the end of our session at the Tranquil Dog facility, Tucker was calm and very well mannered and once I got home I put my new skills to use with great success.
