Love this place. Switched over from another vet nearby when the previous place said my dog was lifting up his leg during walking from “allergies causing discomfort” when he actually required knee and ACL surgery. They follow up via phone and in-person. Dr. Mandel is our preferred veterinarian, and she is amazing.

In the last couple of months I lost two of my sweet fur babies, the staff at Tidewater were very caring and compassionate. It made losing my babies bearable. Both of my babies were chronically sick which is never an easy thing to find out or deal with but the staff answered all of my questions and educated me a lot on animal health. Losing a pet is never easy and to me the hardest part is right after when you’re emotionally stuck and don’t know what to do next, but the staff made my family feel seen and heard. I sincerely thank the staff for being understanding and supportive in my family’s time of grief.

We have been clients of Tidewater for over 20 years. Their entire team, from the doctors to front desk, are incredibly knowledgeable and kind! I trust them with all our animals and can't imagine going anywhere else!

Absolutely phenomenal experience! This was my first visit to Tidewater and I was completely blown away by the level of compassion, care, and personal attention we received. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome. The Dr. Runde was amazing. He took the time to review Zena’s file and noted before coming into the exam room and greeted me by name. (While that might seem small, our last vet never remembered our names, or our dogs name, and we had seen her several times over 2 years.) Dr. Runde took the time to listen carefully to my concerns, explained everything in clear detail, and treated my sweet bulldog with such tenderness and respect—it truly felt like he was caring for his own animal. My cat was diagnosed with a terminal condition. The doctors here and staff were so kind and supportive. They even said I could get referred for grief counseling. I will need it. Bless this place and the precious animals they serve.
