Applejack K-9 Academy & Kennel

Today I took my Great Dane for a walk on the Boardwalk at Lady Bird Lake in Austin. Bikes, runners, families everywhere. When we first adopted Vern we weren't even sure we'd be able to keep her. Training through Applejack K9 made it possible for us to not only bring her along on a road trip from MD to TX but to walk her with absolute ease in a busy public place where she showed off her manners like a pro. We're beyond thankful for the team at Applejack K9.

I cannot thank the trainers at Applejack k-9 Academy enough. We took on a 8 year old German shepherd dog and frankly it had been some time since I had a dog, and never have I had a large dog. I have waited some time before writing a review as dog training and behavior modification is a process. When we first came to Applejack it was for an assessment if we were hoping for the impossible, that was Oct 2022, and that was if this 8 year old GSD who was reactive to other dogs, had high anxiety, and was difficult to handle especially around small children could overcome all of that. We already had two resident cats and wanted to ensure everyone’s safety. Fast forward to July 2023 and I never imagined we could get as far as we have. I met Ryan and Kyle at Applejack when I was probably about 8 years old . I used to go and play with the puppies to get them used to socialization. Fast forward to today I got both of my dogs from Applejack. They are the most well behaved thanks to Ryan and Kyle. They really know what they are talking about. They can help you with any issue. Anxiety, aggression, dogs not obeying, chewing furniture, pulling on leashes, and so much more. Applejack is willing to work with you and your familys needs. If you think something isn't working they will give you alternative options. They are super kind and professional im very thankful for them because I wouldn't even have my dogs without them and the entire staff's help.

We will never own another dog that doesn't go to Applejack K9 for training. My furbaby, Bentley was a typical puppy with an extraordinary amount of energy, and a little defiance that was starting to becoming destructive. He started basic training right at 4 months old and the change in Bentley is like night and day. Although I never thought it would happen, he passed basic training and is now moving on to intermediate training. All the staff are awesome and truly invested in how your dog is doing AND how comfortable you are handling your dog. Don't waste your time going to PetSmart, or any other training facility. Just go to the best in the southern MD area!

My dog is excited to get kenneled which says a lot. She has been significantly better after training.
