I took my 4 month old puppy in to the ER on a Saturday evening. The ER was busy with quite a few pets, sick or injured. My boy wasn’t critical but others were. The receptionist was on top of each pet, calling for triages as needed. Everyone got urgent attention. A tech came out and interviewed me for his condition then took him back. I was offered to wait in the lobby or go to a private room. I chose the latter. I was checked on at least every 20 minutes by someone to see if I needed anything. The vet came in explaining everything to me, offering options. Making my decision was easy. I was told precisely what it would cost. My mother and I brought my sweet Coco in over the weekend when we noticed she was acting strange. Unfortunately, what we thought would be a simple issue solved with some medication turned out be a fatal diagnosis. Though our hearts were broken at having to say goodbye to her, Jamie, Ryan, and Dr. Kuo were all so incredibly caring and amazing. Dr. Kuo broke the news as carefully as he possibly could’ve and was very gentle & careful when putting her to rest. He answered all our questions gently but without sugarcoating anything. Jamie made my girl an amazing last meal of all sorts of snacks and gave us some great ink prints and hair. Emily was the kind of person you hope to meet when your pet needs care. She was incredibly kind, patient, and understanding, never once making us feel judged or rushed. ❤️ Instead, she took the time to listen and explain everything clearly, helping us make the best decisions for our cat’s health. 🐱 After reviewing the options with the veterinarian, she let us know that one of the suggested services wasn’t necessary right now and could be done later if needed. Her honesty and compassion made a huge difference for us, both emotionally and financially. Ashley, another technician, was also wonderful, gentle, attentive, and clearly experienced. I’m so glad I took my dog to Thrive Mansfield. My 10 year old Pomeranian experienced abnormal seizures in the middle of the night and Dr. Verdi and Schanece were amazing. They went above and beyond to make him comfortable and less anxious during our stay and sent us home with helpful medications and advice. I cannot thank them enough for taking such good care of my little guy. I know where we will be going if this ever happens again!

Earlier this month, I took my 4.5-year-old dog to Thrive Pet ER in Mansfield, Texas, because he started having seizures earlier that morning. He was at Thrive most of the day because we were told he needed IV medication for his seizures. The provider did not give us a reason for the seizures, but he started him on medications, and we took our dog home. For one week, we gave Tucker the prescribed drugs. A once-healthy dog, not on any medication, was loving, active, hyper, and very playful. However, it was now lethargic and so confused that it walked into walls and did not even know how to turn around to move away from the wall without assistance. As ordered, we followed up with his Vet, and she immediately advised us that the medication given was double the dose a dog his size needed.
