Very nice staff / clean rooms / very empathetic. They did offer me a lot of diagnostics but right now I am on a budget due to being a student. They offered medications to go home, but did let me know to please consider the diagnostics if my pet isn't better. Luckily she's doing fine! very affordable. The doctor is upfront and doesn't make me feel bad for not being able to afford my pets care. Very carefully explained the importance of blood work and being able to treat my pet better when they see the blood work values. which is understandable.

We took our dog here on short notice on a Friday. They were able to accommodate us immediately. The staff is very friendly and gave us several options that we could afford. The prices are very reasonable. I am appreciated them to accommodate us on short notice. Would definitely recommend and come back here.

Extremely disappointing experience. I do NOT recommend Thornwood Pet Care Clinic. This clinic completely dropped the ball on something as simple as sending an insurance summary for a basic exam and vaccination. I called them several times, followed up repeatedly, and was assured by one of the receptionists that she’d talk to the manager and get back to me. That never happened. Despite my efforts, they never sent the paperwork. Because of their negligence and lack of professionalism, the insurance company had no choice but to close the case. I can’t suggest enough Dr. Shira Rubin. Sometimes you go to expensive places and the level of care is just mediocre. They are ok doing routine, mundane stuff and vaccines, but when with diagnostics often not experienced or knowledgeable enough. I had the privilege of taking many of my animals to Dr. Shira Rubin, and I can confidently say that she is an exceptional, ethical professional. Her wealth of experience and knowledge is evident in every interaction. Dr. Rubin doesn't sugarcoat things – she tells the harsh truth when necessary, but it's always with the best interest of the animals at heart. Dr. Rubin is very modest, but her dedication to well-being of animals is truly commendable, making her a top choice for any pet owner seeking top-tier veterinary care.

I brought in a young outdoor cat needing to be spayed. The cat showed signs of pregnancy or high puberty hormones. I made it clear I was interested only in a rapid spay, and did not want further diagnostics. However, upon examination, the Dr Singh said there are no fetuses detectable, and it's probably breast cancer, and we should immediately do biopsy and then do tumor removal surgery. I was shocked, and requested that we simply do the spay first, and see if the mammary enlargement resolves. He insisted that we should do the biopsy right away, and then do the tumor removal surgery at the same time as the spay.
