San Jose Bengal Cats

We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Rene and San Jose Bengal Cats! We are writing this review about 4 months after bringing our girl home, and she has been a dream. Rene told us during our first visit to the cattery that she would turn out to be a mellow lap cat, and he was 100% right! As new cat owners, we had a million questions, and Rene was incredibly patient and helpful throughout the entire process. What really stood out was the level of care Rene provides even after you take your kitten home. He gave us amazing advice on helping her settle in and even lent us her original litter box to ensure she adapted quickly to her new environment. Logistically, the process was seamless. She came with her basic vaccines, a week’s worth of wet and dry food, and we’ll receive the TIC

Our family was looking for a ‘hypoallergenic’ cat as 2 of our 5 family members have allergies to cat. We visited several shelters and breeders and decided on Bengals as they trigger the least allergic reactions compared to those from many of the other cats that we were able to see. Rene was a great help and the first thing he told us was ‘Don’t believe what you read on internet about Bengals’. That cannot be more true based on our experience with our 6 month old. I am writing this after 4 weeks of having her at home and she’s so sweet, good natured and well-adjusted we really couldn’t be happier. A little over a week ago I picked up my little girl, Minnow. She is the most amazing, beautiful little thing Ive laid eyes on- All throughout contacting, scheduling an appointment to meet, and picking up my kitten, Rene has shown not only a deep knowledge for these cats, but a deep care for them spanning beyond the time theyre in his care- checking in even after they leave for a new home. While at his cattery, Rene answered my questions with enthusiasm and going above and beyond with kindness, information, and patience. I absolutely love my little Minnow. Thank you so much, Rene!

I never write reviews. But Rene’s cats are beautiful and this cattery has earned my praise. I could not have asked for a better furry friend - my boy has a heartwarming temperament. I love blowing bubbles for my cat and watching him pop them.

How I came to know about San Jose Bengal Cats and Rene was at the Campbell farmer's market where someone had a cat in their backpack. I reached out asking so many questions earlier this year but the timing just wasn't right. Rene actually reached out to me because he knew I was looking for one without spots. Naturally, I asked for a photo and just HAD to go meet her. Rene is very patient and cares deeply for these cats. You can see his engagement with these babies and how much he cares for them. The day he reached out, I was able to visit the cattery and that was the beginning of the end. You're able to hold the kitty with a deposit until when you're ready to bring them home.
