The Velvet Snout

This place is amazing! I’ve always had well-behaved dogs who were easy to train, but now I have a “problem child” who I was worried would never learn. But Josh stepped in and just two weeks of training, she is like a brand, new dog! I love the updates, photos, and videos he sent me the entire time she was there as well as the follow ups. This place is great and I would recommend to anyone! And I drove an hour to get there because Josh came so highly recommended! So worth it!

We’ve been coming here for 2 years now and just groomed our 2 dogs again today. Absolutely would never take our dogs anywhere else. We have used both boarding and grooming with nothing but the most upstanding care for our dogs. For grooming no matter which groomer you have you will love the results. I also love the transparency they have with their clients. One of our dogs is a bit more timid about his nails being clipped and right away I received a call advising me of the situation. Even was told they don’t want to traumatize him for future nail clippings which I appreciate. We have always boarded our dogs here as well and our dogs enjoy coming. Sharing my experience with Velvet Snout as I would like others to not have the experience I had. The first 3 photos are what our dog George looked like prior to his boarding (last week of November 2024) and the last 2 show the condition he was returned to us in.

I was really excited to finally be able to find a reasonably priced place that could board my dog when I go on trips, but unfortunately I will not be boarding my dog at this place from now on. I had typed up clear feeding instructions for my dog and made sure that the lady at the front desk read all of it when I was checking my dog in. I asked them to give my dog 2 tablets of Zyrtec (20 mg total, since they were 10 mg each), just ONCE a day in the mornings. I picked her up on Sunday close to 8 am, so I assumed that they had already given her the AM stuff, so I did not take a look at the bottle of Zyrtec. Justine and staff have been phenomenal! I was a very nervous doggy mommy and had never used doggy daycare or boarding services for any dog before, but Justine has been so kind and patient, answering all of my questions and making me feel very comfortable. Our pup has come home each time with tail wagging and completely exhausted. We know he is in great hands when he's at Velvet Snout!
