We cannot recommend The Town Vet highly enough. The care, the attention to our dog, and their expertise is unmatched. Our 10 year old Westie was ill and with another Vet practice. For several years we considered switching due to often rude staff and doctors, difficulty scheduling, and doctors that lacked follow up (and simply seemed uncaring). We could not be happier to have found and made the switch to The Town Vet. What a difference in the end-to-end experience. This small local veterinary practice is responsive, caring, professional, and well organized. They communicate clearly. Their knowledge and attentiveness have been apparent every time we have been there - for routine care, and for illnesses.

After my sister passed away, her cat needed immediate care and support. The team here guided us through everything with the expertise of a skilled veterinarian, but also with the personal warmth and compassion of a trusted friend. I have been using The Town Vets as my primary veterinarian pretty much since they first opened, but I recently chose to change vets. To preface this, I have not had any major negative experiences with the veterinarians or technicians, who were very professional, and treated me and my dog with respect and patience. The biggest issue that pushed me to switch was the unprofessionalism of one receptionist, Anne Marie. She has repeatedly made errors in her job, and has also been condescending when resolving them. One time, she could not locate my dog’s extensive medical history, and asked me to resend it. When I questioned why (as other receptionists had no issue), she responded “I know how to do my job” with a rude tone. A while after resending it, she informed me that the history was, in fa

I live in Mount Vernon and take an hour drive every time I have to take my dog (Branden) and cat (Dylan) to the vet. I do not mind the drive because Town Vets staff treats my babies as if they were their own with lots of love, patience, and care. Branden is a pitbull and very reactive towards male dogs, Nicole (vet tech) made sure that when we arrived, there were no dogs in the reception area and that Branden had a smooth transition. He was greeted with lots of love and taken straight into one of the rooms. Immediately, the doctor wanted to connect with him and make him feel loved and welcomed, which is something that I haven't experienced at other vets.
