The Small Animal Clinic

Wanted to board our dog for 1 night but they didn't tell us ahead of time that the bordatella shot had to be within past 6 months instead of 12 months. We submitted his records in advance but they waited til after we dropped him off before telling us then they tried to get us to pay for the updated vaccine, was very convenient for them. They should have told us when we sent records, NOT after we dropped him off. Felt like a way to make money for them. Won't send our dog there to be boarded again.

I would highly recommend the vets in this office. About a year ago our large senior dog appeared to have a sudden onset of pain. We contacted the vets office that we had used for 40 years and was told that we could go to the emergency clinic as they had no opening. Before heading to the emergency clinic I called Small Animal Clinic and they asked if we could wait until morning and I said I did not think so. They told me to load him up and bring him in and the vet would wait on us. Dr. Jordan saw him and examined him, but it was uncertain as to what was causing the pain after an exam . We were asked if we wanted to leaving him overnight or take him home and be back when they opened. They gave us meds and we took him home. We were back the next morning for more testing, X-rays

I love Dr Jordan. I have had total of 4 pets under his care 3 dogs and 1 cat. He is caring and gentle and listens well to pet AND owner. Calm, welcoming atmosphere that carried us through Covid and beyond.

Experience seemed like haggling with heckling marketers, not a family/patient centered clinic. I set an appointment for my dog to get neutered, which was relatively expensive at ~400$, compared to neuters in general and locally but they did say they would need to keep him overnight to monitor after the procedure. I assumed with the cost, my pet would get the best care and they would be on top of everything. He was ready the next day and the bill included a rather overpriced cone. They said he had ripped out his stitches so they stapled him and put the cone on while keeping him overnight. They didn't secure the cone with any of the straps through the slots on it and when we had gotten home he easily and quickly took it off and ripped out his staples. They show a true concern, take time to fully explain any aspect of care, and my dog runs into the vet to see her humans and get her belly scratches. The doctors and all of the staff have been the most accommodating, compassionate, and understanding team of professionals that I could entrust Tater-Tot to.
