Best experience with a vet in the Hudson valley in a long time. Everyone was kind & educated. Reasonably priced & worked so hard for it. They helped reassure me & my baby was okay! Thankful for them! Definitely a returning dog mom here!

I don’t usually write reviews, but The Pets I Love absolutely deserves one. Our Pekingese has struggled with severe allergies for a long time, which has meant many trips to the vet and a lot of worry on our end. Dr. Szpicek and the entire team have been nothing short of incredible through it all. They’re thorough, patient, and genuinely committed to finding solutions — not just quick fixes. Dr. Szpicek went above and beyond to get our girl the treatment she needed and finally get her allergies under control. The difference in her comfort and quality of life is unbelievable, and we’re beyond grateful. I recently brought my dog Winston in for an ear infection, and I couldn’t be happier with the care he received. From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming, professional, and attentive. The veterinarian took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made sure Winston was comfortable throughout the entire visit. The treatment plan was thorough yet easy to follow, and Winston is already feeling so much better. I truly appreciate the compassion and expertise shown by the entire team. As someone who works with animals every single day and raises tiny, delicate Imperial Shih Tzus, I am extremely picky about who I trust with my dogs, and this team has exceeded every expectation. From the moment you walk in, you feel like family. The doctors are knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly thorough. They don’t rush through appointments, they explain everything in a way that makes sense, and most importantly, they truly care. I have used this vet for at least the last 14 years. Dr smatt and Dr spichek <i know I spelt that so wrong> are absolutely amazing! They know there stuff, they fit you in and they are truly phenomenal with your pet. I bring both my cats and my dog to them, as well as my past dog that had passed many years ago. The entire staff is friendly and helpful and they are all animal people. So if your a crazy fur mom like me they are understanding and wonderful. Recent annual physical my old girl doesn't like shots and/or blood work done from the hind legs. Most vets dont like pulling from the front since if the dog is going to react its closer to where they may get hurt.
