Highly recommend Mike the K9 Coach for anyone needing dog training in the Sarasota / Bradenton area. We’ve been attending Mike’s group classes regularly for over a year now and have seen him work with all kinds of dogs — he truly understands them. We adopted our dog Benji when he was 7 years old. He was nervous, reactive, and would lunge at neighbors and other dogs during walks. It got to the point where we couldn’t deal with it anymore and started looking for a trainer. We met with a few different trainers but chose Mike after the first meeting, and we’re so glad we did. It’s been a night and day difference for Benji. My husband and I came to Mike feeling extremely frustrated and lost about how to handle our dog’s behavioral issues—especially with a newborn on the way. Our 1.5-year-old rescue, Theo, has been anxious and skittish since the day we brought him home at eight weeks old. I recently adopted a young rescue dog who is very smart but also very, very stubborn. After I read the his online reviews I asked Mike to help me work with Neo. He worked with us in our home, and after a few sessions I signed Neo up for Mike's room and board package. Neo lived with Mike for two weeks, and the results were great. After the initial training we started attending the weekly group training sessions which are a lot of fun. Mike is very dedicated to helping dogs (and owners) live the best life! Thank you Mike!!!

I have a seven month old mini golden doodle who is a wonderful dog but like all puppies has issues. The biggest are failing to come to me consistently and jumping all over people. My groomer recommended Mike and I was so happy she did. Mike provides a free consultation. We spent an hour with him and decided on private lessons. He suggested we get a vibrating collar that is used to get the dog’s attention without hurting her. He came out to my house and spent two hours explaining and showing how to use the device to train our puppy. I have been using for only one day and it’s already starting to make a difference. I will probably have two more sessions at my house and then use him as needed. Highly recommend Mike. He explains everything well and makes sure you understand what you need to do

Hiring Mike is the best thing we ever did for our dog. Adopting him at 6 years old, he came into our lives very reactive - people, others, and bikes. Once we saw how well Mike’s dog behaved, we signed ours up for Board & Train. He came back to us, a completely different dog. He smiled, he listened, and now we can walk him in the neighborhood without the fear and embarrassment for him going nuts. In fact, he now wants to meet the other dogs and play with them! I cannot recommend the K9 Coach enough
