The best small business around the south shore that offers a variety of healthy dog & cat food, treats, meal toppers, chews and natural supplements. I honestly wish I found this store sooner. I started coming in the summer and now I stop by about once a week to pick up an assortment of chew bones, freeze dried sweet potatoes and meal toppers for my pomsky puppy, Lumi. You can tell the owners care about the quality of the various chews (beef tendons, lamb collagen sticks etc) they offer for dogs. Before finding the healthy animal, I bought beef tendons at a larger/more well known pet supply store for my puppy and it made her very sick, I could tell the quality was poor compared to the ones sold at the healthy animal. After you have seen your vet, you should most definitely come here for cat or dog food and incredible advice and knowledge. I had so many questions after seeing my Vet and Freddie was incredible… she stayed on the phone with me for as long as I needed ..answering questions about my cat’s weight loss. I can’t begin to tell you how grateful I am for her advice ..and going to the store is a must for healthy cats, and dogs!!!

I've been coming to the Healthy Animal for probably about 4 years now and I'm so grateful to have found it - what a great little store! The owner and all of her employees are so knowledgeable, kind and helpful. Their holistic approach to animal healing is what brought me here and it feels like a family. They genuinely care and want to see your animals healthy and happy.

Love the Healthy Animal! The owner is SUPER knowledgeable about healthy pet food and natural remedies, and the staff is fabulous. I do wish they had more weekend hours but Saturday until 2pm is workable.

The folks who run this shop are always incredibly kind and friendly. They always have the cat food we need and it’s reasonably priced. The owner’s dog is frequently in the shop has “assisted” me many times while grabbing what I need. It’s definitely a great place for all of your pet needs and has a nice atmosphere that you can’t get at any of the chain stores.
