Sami is a magician. Our dog Reuben has a history of anxiety and reactivity and we were so on edge bringing him anywhere or having anyone near him. It had gotten to the point where we felt like we couldn’t have visitors at our house. Walking was such an anxiety inducing activity because we never knew what he would do and he would pull like crazy. We did a few sessions with Sami and immediately saw progress so we decided to do a 3 week board and train. Reuben truly came back a different dog. He is SUCH a nice walker, has outstanding obedience skills, his reactivity is hugely improved and he is a happier dog. The anxiety of course is still there but Sami also did a great job of teaching us how to manage it. We’ve had several dog trainers but no one comes close to Sami. She has a process and
Sami is truly nothing short of extraordinary. From the very first session, it was clear that she doesn’t just train dogs, she understands them on a deeper level. Her calm confidence, patience, and genuine love for animals make her an absolute standout in her field. Lainey transformed under her guidance. Behaviors we once thought were impossible to change suddenly became manageable and then completely corrected. Sami took the time to get to know Lainey’s personality, quirks, and triggers, and built a training plan that worked with her, not against her. She explained everything in a way that made sense, gave us tools we could use every day, and celebrated every win right along with us. What sets Sami apart is her dedication. She shows up prepared, enthusiastic, and fully invested in your d
I would reccomend happy hound services to anyone who is interested in getting their dog trained. Sami runs her buisiness in a professional, organized, and timely manner. Through working with her, it’s very easy to identify what an extensive knowledge base she has when working with animals (and their humans too!). Sami’s down to earth style makes her extremely approachable, easy to ask questions, talk to, and over all made learning so easy us! She worked with our dog Reggie, whose major concerns were related to his reactive behaviors. We finally reached out to Sami when we realized just how small Reggie’s world was becoming, and just how limited our knowledge was on how to best manage his needs… Reggie spent 4 weeks with Sami doing the board and train package. I cannot share how beneficial
There are not enough words to describe how excellent our experience with Sami was. Cash started his three week board and train a fearful, anxious, co-dependent dog. He had severe dog reactivity and we couldn't see a dog a block away without him reacting. On day one, Sami had him socializing with her dogs. She taught him leash manners and he walks like an angel on a leash now - even if we see a dog. His recall is excellent and if he starts to get anxious about another dog, I simply call his name and he immediately looks at me and I am able to distract him and we can continue our walk. Sami gave Cash more confidence and freedom as we are now able to let him roam around parks on a 20ft lead knowing if we need his attention, we can call him and he'll come to us. Not only did she work miracles
I am so happy our family found Sami! We felt pretty hopeless prior to starting training. We so badly wanted to train our dog but were continuously quoted way more than we had budgeted. When Sami said we should start with 6 sessions, I felt so relieved that we’d be able to finally start our training journey. Our dog, Beau, struggled with reactivity and overall manners. We focused heavily on leash walking in the early sessions not only practicing structure on his walks but also building his confidence. We started to immediately see results not only on our walks but in how he listened to us around the house. We loved our Thursdays with Sami as we always came away learning something new and feeling both accomplished and hopeful about our training journey. Sami has been such a resource outside
