We had to make the decision to put our beloved baby Luna to sleep. They took us back immediately, referring to us as the rainbow, which i found endearing and kind. The first tech we spoke to was very understanding and patient. Then the Dr. came in to speak with us, he answered all of our questions about whether or not he could do anything to help her vs. Euthanasia and ultimately we decided it was best to put her to sleep. They gave us unlimited time with her before administering the medications, once we were ready the Dr. was very quick, and comforting the entire time The third tech we delt with was amazing, she took so much time, care and effort into our paw and nose print. Going so far as to redo them multiple times until she was satisfied. She then brought us a coffin, made of thick c

Highly recommend! Our 12 year old Yorkie, Sophie, started to breathe hard out of the blue. I looked online at all the Pet ERs local and not good reviews. I came across the Guardian Pet ER in Pittsville with great reviews. From the minute I called them to tell them what was going on, I felt heard. As soon as we arrived they took Sophie back and did a sonogram on her and placed her in the O2 crate for a while. The whole time they allowed us to sit next to our baby so she wouldn’t be more stressed than she was. The doctor and nurses kept us well informed. Before they would do the next step the nurse would go over the plan and costs. If we agreed or not that decided on next step. Our baby girls oxygen never improved so we had to let her cross the rainbow bridge. The staff allowed us

There are not enough words to describe how thankful I am for every single person in this building. From the front desk, to the back table, everyone moved in such grace. The teamwork, knowledge, care, and undivided attention to my boy, while simultaneously tending to the other animals who needed you too, it was remarkable. You explained what you were doing, guided me, allowed me to be present, and answered any and all questions I had. It seemed really busy…but you still provided top tier care. Thank you for “holding my hand,” as I made the hardest decision of my life. My cat Tigger has been with me since I was 7, and having to say goodbye 18 years later was the last thing I wanted to do, but you helped me make the right decision, the best decision for him. I know he thanks you too. Enjoy th

Unfortunately, my beloved dog of almost 16 years Trotter had some sort of an acute episode last Saturday, Feb 28th. My regular vet was closing so they directed me to The Guardian Vet Group. I called ahead and someone met us in the parking lot and Trotter was seen almost immediately. Trotter was treated with the utmost care and attention. All of the tech folks and Dr. Reynolds were so kind and nice. Unfortunately, this story doesn't end happily. Dr. Reynolds ordered an x-ray and it revealed that Trotter had a large tumor along-side his heart and there were various other masses along his back and spine. He wasn't going to get better and would probably begin to experience increased pain, so with Dr. Reynold's professional guidance, I made one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to m

Wow! Just wow - what a truly graceful and amazing experience all the staff provided. On top of being almost 8 months pregnant (leaving emotions to come easy) and our sweet girl being 14 - every little change becomes scary and she gave us quite the scare this morning. My husband called as my sweet girl and I were on our way, they had our whole chart prepped, so when I arrived all I had to do was sign consents and wait patiently. Layla girl was very anxious and the front desk staff brought her a cozy blanket to try to get her to settle and lay down. The back staff were very busy upon our arrival but they never rushed us or made us feel like their full attention couldn’t still be provided to our girl. They were gentle, knowledgeable, and provided such relief. They were thorough in their asses
