Delmarva K9 LLC

I just brought home my Working German Sheppard, I rescued from New York State. My boy has a very high drive and I knew my level of skill would not be enough to make sure he had the best quality of life and environment he deserved. I learned of Delmarva K 9 and J.C. Richardson and his background from a friend. I knew from that point forward, this was where I wanted my companion to learn. I met with JC and one of his skilled trainers Meghan and discussed a plan. They layer out a 3 week program where he would have his obedience skills honed in just for his nature. I picked him up today and he's a different dog. So we'll behaved, still has his Hi drive but I have the control rather than he doing his own thing. I'm going to get him acclamated then I want to move on to Blood Tracking for Wounded

I sent my puppy to Delmarva K9 for boarding and on leash training while I was traveling and I'm so glad I decided to do this. I had never boarded a dog before and was extremely nervous but Delmarva made me feel safe before and during his stay. Pam was especially amazing! Megan was my pups trainer and did a great job, he is so much more of a joy to go on walks with, now we can't stop walking! Two other people stood out but I cannot remember their names, the person who greeted us, handled intake and reassured me everything would be good and the person who did the send off, you both were wonderful.

I did the 4-week boarding training program with the shock collar ($1,600), and I feel like I have a brand-new dog, in a good way! My dog is a 4-year-old female pit/lab mix and the main reasons we did this training was she needed some stability, leash training (over excitement when passing by other dogs) and guest training I call it (barking at my guests). She was walking us on the leash and not the other way around and she would continuously bark at my guests that would enter my house which is scary for my guests, as expected (it echoes in my downstairs). Now, the trainers have instilled the place command where she must remain until she's calmed down and released. As far as the leash training, with the combination of the training, prong collar and shock collar she doesn't even really look

On June 5-6th my two Great Dane's stayed overnight at Delmarva K9 for one night. My dogs were labeled as “leash walk only.” They were diagnosed with pneumonia and our vet bills neared $4000. Ghost would have died otherwise. I am not alone. The emergency vet stated several other dogs were hospitalized with a very severe case of pneumonia after their stay at the same kennel. I immediately informed the kennel of my dog's diagnosis. I asked the vet and they said they informed the kennel as well after the first three cases. After sharing my dogs experience on social media (without mentioning the kennel name), several others messaged me to to let me know about their sick dogs just like mine boarded before, during, and after at the same kennel. JC and his staff are professional and knowledgeable on all things K9. We have been using Delmarva K9 for six years and they have always treated us and our pups like family. We were referred to JC when we received our first Cane Corso pup six years ago and realized we were way out of our league with training our precious girl. JC worked with us as well as Bella and she has been the best dog we’ve ever had. We recently adopted another Cane Corso that did not have a great start so we contacted JC right away and started her training. JC and his staff have been right by our side with Harley and she is a completely different dog now. We cannot thank them enough!
