The Grooming Room

Love the grooming room! The new owner is very sweet and they have many of the same staff. They know Misha by name and have worked with her since she was a squirmy puppy. We have been going here for about 4 years and the transition from Marcia has been seamless. They have all the original customer information cards on file, it says a lot about the integrity of Marcia and the new owner that they put the comfort and ease of their clients first. I need to note, I find it strange that someone recently wrote a review about an injured ear from 2021. That should not reflect on the current business.

I took my dog here in 2021. The owner was nice but they were not up to the standards I expected. They wounded my dog in the ear , which I know is an accident. However they didn’t own their mistake. Not only they charged me full price, they didn’t like the fact I didn’t leave a tip. Then afterwards no follow up call, nothing. Of course not taking my pup back here again. His fur hasn’t grown in his ear since. Price here doesn’t match service.

Horrifying experience. My 8 month old puppy was cut with a 3 inch laceration. Gus didn't call me, and instead told me when I picked him up. He said he "put ointment on it, and it would heal fine" I immediately took him to my vet, where he needed 8 stitches. This was reckless and traumatizing. They have TOO many dogs at a time, and rush.

BEWARE – our dog (Benny) was severely injured while in the care of The Grooming Room, Milburn, NJ. We received a call from Chris (new owner) that Benny was bleeding badly from his paw and needed to be picked up immediately and taken for emergency Veterinarian treatment. Two treatments totaling $775 were needed to resolve. I talked with Chris and his father on several occasions over the past couple months and requested he pay for the vet bills, and while he said he would review the incident and get back to me he unfortunately would not return any calls. The Grooming Room is a dishonest business that does not accept responsibility for their work and pet care.

Very nice people and they do a fantastic job on our two Australian Labradoodles. Gus rocks!
