The Dog Stop - Metairie, Louisiana

Our dogs Eevee and Ridley previously boarded elsewhere and we did not have a pleasant experience. Once we started coming here they literally love it! We have boarded and done day care multiple times and our dogs love it! They love our babies, send us pictures, and truly care. They also have so many things that the dogs participate in and we love every minute of it and so do our pups! We will never go anywhere else!

My dog sitter canceled two hours before my international flight, which was frustrating since my large dog can’t travel in cargo from New Orleans due to the heat. A friend recommended a dog stop, and they went above and beyond to make my unplanned emergency stress-free. There was one issue: he needed a shot to play with others. They kindly took him to the vet while I was out of the country and ensured he was up-to-date so he could enjoy himself. Despite my limited communication access abroad, they made everything super easy and took the initiative. When I picked him up, I could tell he was happy and would love to return—he was even groomed better than our usual groomer. He came home smelling good, looking shiny, and had a great vibe 🤙 As a New Orleans native, I know many local businesses

Pleasant experience, my minature snauzzer coat felt and smelled wonderful for weeks. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. My first time using them for grooming and I have already booked my next appointment!

I just love The Dog Stop in Metairie, they pay attention to my dogs needs and he seems to be fine when I watch the Pup Cams.. which I love. Only thing I would like to see is interaction with ALL the dogs and not just the dogs that jump up on the attendants. My little old guy won’t jump up (that’s how he is trained) but will look up and follow them and he seemed to be overlooked. Overall great experience and will continue to bring my little one there.

We had such a positive experience boarding our two dogs, Orion and Cosmo. From the very beginning, the staff was warm, professional, and attentive, which immediately put us at ease. They took the time to learn about each dog’s personality, routines, and needs, and it really showed in the care they received. We rarely board, but this time it was a necessity. The dogs came home relaxed, clean, and tired from plenty of playtime. It’s obvious that the team genuinely loves dogs and goes above and beyond to make them feel at home. We’re so grateful to have found a place we can trust with our pups. Orion and Cosmo will definitely be back!
