The Dog House Inn, LLC

We take our adopted Shepherd, Brandy, to the Dog House Inn for boarding. Prior to her adoption, Brandy had been a farm dog for 6 years and had never been in a vehicle, much less boarding. Prior to boarding, Janet suggested that Brandy come for doggie day care a few times to get comfortable, even though day care was technically full. We really appreciated this offer and took Brandy a couple times prior to being boarded for a week. When I dropped her off, she ran to Janet and I was ignored so I slunk out. 😊 From staff reports, Brandy did really well and learned to play with other dogs. We are so happy to have a wonderful ‘other home’ to take Brandy when we travel! All of the staff are very sweet and gentle with the dogs.

I have an 11 year old boxer mix and a 4 year old pit bull and I’ve been bringing them here for 3-4 years. I love that my dogs have more space and access to outside more often compared to other standard boarding set ups. They have been great at medications, feeding specifications, and I have never had an issue boarding my dogs here. Janet is super sweet and takes care of all the dogs as if they were her own! My dogs know where we are going as soon as I start packing my luggage and they get so excited! I have such a peace of mind when they are here and am able to fully enjoy my trip without worry. I HIGHLY recommend the Dog House Inn, it’s definitely the best dog boarding in the Bemidji area.

Our dog Yogi loves the Dog House Inn! He loves the staff and his furry friends there. He gets very excited when we turn onto the road tht leads to his playground.

This is what you’ll get when you bring your dog to daycare: a dog that is absolutely pooped from playing! We love bringing our dog to a place where they genuinely care for the pets. Our dog is our baby, but we trust them fully with her. She gets so excited whenever we tell her she’s going and we turn on that road! The best people to trust with your babies.

I suppose i have to be the first 1 star review. My dogs have been boarded here multiple times with no incidents or reports of bad behavior. I pick my dogs up on Saturday afternoon, and everything is great until I get my dog in the jeep and notice that she has 2 puncture wounds on her left side. No one knows anything. Wait 3 days and get a call saying that they went through the video of the group play and didn't see anything happen to my dog. How does something like this go unnoticed for 2 days?! No apologies, no nothing. Never again. They promise one thing and do not deliver.
