The Dan Gentile Dog Training Center

I took Thor to Dan Gentile Dog Training in August after I adopted Thor from the Shelter. He is so loveable but out-of-control from a pretty tough start to life. He was too much for living in NYC with all of the triggers. Mallory and her team worked with him and truly gave him a second start. He is doing so well and happy and has structure. I cannot thank you all enough!!

Took a customer there to drop their dog off. It was a very, very nice place. It had a donkey, it had a goat and the dogs had plenty of room to play. The place was clean, well-cared-for seemed very loving..

I heard about Dan Gentile and his training program through my brother. I had my dig Maximus for three years … and he recently had been having poor behavior. He was not listening to me when I said “no” and pulled on walks. During his time, Maximus learned to sit, stay, heel, lay down, come…’land so much more. He listens to me and we have an even stronger and loving bond. I so appreciate the time the trainers gave me making sure I am continuing with the proper training at home. Being a teacher, I totally understand the need of practice and now I have “homework”. My Maximus is such a love bug and I couldn’t thank Dan and his team enough! Turns out … you CAN teach an old dog new tricks!

If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. I had dropped my 11 mo Labrador off on Wednesday Sept 22 and called Sept 24 to see how he was adjusting. I was told he’s doing great and coming out of his shell as he was nervous when I dropped him off. I didn’t hear from anyone until Tuesday October 5th (the day before pickup) when I received a voicemail from Mallory that she needed to speak with me. When I returned her call I was informed that my dog had a rash on his neck and wanted to tell me before picking him up the next day and it shouldn’t be a “cause for concern.” She stated that the day after he was dropped off, staff noticed a tiny itchy, dry spot on his neck that progressively got worse. She continued to repeat that they didn’t want this to be a cause for concern and naturally conc

For 20 years we've been sending our dogs to Dan and his trainers. We just got our latest family member back after a 2 week session and we couldn't be more satisfied. Thanks once again, we now have a well behaved 8 month old pup. / Toni On New York says THANK YOU!
