We brought our 3-year-old, 93-pound Labrador retriever, Archie, to NJ DOGS Training LLC because he was starting to show some possession aggression and wasn’t always listening to commands. Dan completely changed how we understand and communicate with him. He taught our family how to give Archie structure, clear rules, and accountability while keeping things fun and positive. We learned how to use the place command to give Archie a job to focus on, how to communicate through play and tug, and how to make training part of our daily life instead of something separate. Dan was a pleasure to work with! You can tell he truly loves what he's doing and wants to see me and my dogs succeed! He went above and beyond our expectations..answered calls and texts immediately, followed up several times after each session, sent multiple videos and articles pertaining to our specific needs. Both my dogs have improved significantly in a short amount of time. One had a lot of fear issues especially outside, we couldn't even get past the driveway. Now we are able to go around the block. After struggling with my 14-month-old German Shepherd and getting nowhere with a previous trainer, I was feeling hopeless. Then I started working with Dan, and after just three sessions, everything changed! He corrected old habits and properly taught my dog “place,” crate (“house”), leash walking, respect, and how to stay calm around other dogs, people, and even children on bikes. We have just finished training sessions with Daniel and we are very happy. We did learn so much during these classes. Interestingly many issues I had with our new dog were due to my interactions and insecurities our dog was acting upon it. Now she is a lovely and calm dog since we have learn proper techniques. Besides basic training commands and proper walking Daniel provided us with several helpful hints from the best dogs beach, great food, to how to trim my dog’s nails or travel safety. Daniel workplace is in comfortable space with multitude of training equipment and toys. Dog had fun and was trained to accomplish discipline mixed with play time at the same time.
