The Buddy Foundation

We had a wonderful, stress-free experience adopting our kittens. We were able to spend quality time with the cats in each of the various adoption rooms alongside a knowledgeable volunteer who helped and guided us in our encounters. Once we made our decisions, the adoption process was fast and easy. The kittens were clearly well treated and loved by their foster parents as they are healthy and very well behaved. A great experience all around.

We are so pleased with Buddy! We adopted a senior pup recently, and from our meet ‘n greet to signing the adoption papers, the Buddy volunteer staff treated our little guy (and us) like we were their family. They took their time taking care of our pup and were patient in answering all of our questions. We give The Buddy Foundation an A+ rating!

The gentleman who greeted me at the door to accept my blanket donations was very personable and grateful. There was comforter in the donation and he said they had just welcomed in a pup that it would be perfect for. That really touched my heart and made it very personal that he knew exactly which pup would love this.

Had 2 great experiences at the buddy foundation. We met Pippin today, he is such a friendly and fun loving pup. My dad had adopted from them before, that dog had an amazing life, and has since passed on. Today, my dad adopted a second dog from them, finally ready to open his heart again. Being someone that’s incredibly knowledgeable about dogs, and how rescues work, I think that many of these lesser star reviews are from people who are not understanding the process and how shelters work and want to complain bc they were told no.

I went here with my brother to try and convince him to help me get out parents to adopt a rescue cat instead of a purebred. Since I figured that going to a shelter to pet the cats with him would help me prove that shelter cats are high quality and pettable, but unfortunately we did not get to pet cats. We got there when the website said this place opened to find the door locked and a paper saying to call a number to get an adoption appointment, when it was negative one (1) degree out and there was no indication of this process on the Buddy Foundation’s website. I called the number, left my name and number and asked the receptionist on the other side of the door to pretty please let us into the lobby because it was very cold outside.
