Joe is amazing! I had my 11 month old Aussie (Jackson) stay for the board and train because I wanted him to generalize his skills, have lots of exposure to different people and dogs and places, and work on impulse control, loose leash walking, and stop jumping on people and couches. The Bark Stop did not disappoint! I received tons of photos and example videos for how to positively reinforce my pup’s skills and could easily tell Joe really cared for my pup. Jackson had the best time while all my expectations were met. He joined training sessions with other dogs, went to various places, and could off leash walk! When he came home, there was noticeable difference in his ability to stay in a down and he can now watch calmly instead of getting into everyone’s business all the time :) Leash wa

Losing my 18-year-old Pomeranian was truly heartbreaking, so when I brought home Mio—a four-month-old Pom puppy— I wasn’t sure my heart was ready but Mio found space and we started our journey together. I decided to spend a few months in my Orlando house (I’m usually up in Upstate New York), and honestly, even though I consider myself the most knowledgeable senior dog owner after so many years, I had completely forgotten just how challenging and exhausting the puppy stage can be! Mio is a non-stop ball of energy and curiosity, and while I adore him beyond words, there were days when his zest for life left me feeling completely outmatched and wondering if I was doing anything right. All I wanted was to give Mio the best possible start, so I started searching for a trainer right away when w

We had an amazing experience with Joe as our dog trainer! From the very first lesson, Taco was already learning commands like “place” and confidently climbing and working through obstacles! It was honestly impressive how quickly he picked things up. One of the things we loved most is that Joe uses positive reinforcement training, which made the whole experience so encouraging and fun for Taco (and for us). Since then, Joe has taught us so much and helped Taco in so many areas like working through his separation anxiety, keeping him out of the kitchen, properly greeting people, playing well with other dogs, and just overall becoming a more confident and well-behaved pup. Joe doesn’t just train the dog, he really teaches you how to communicate and work with your dog, which made a huge diff

Bringing my pups to Joe was the best decision I made. Before training, walks were a constant battle with pulling, distractions, and zero focus. Now my dog walks calmly on a leash without dragging me down the street, understands and holds a solid place command, and has made huge progress with desensitization around cats, squirrels, and other distractions. Joe doesn’t just train the dog, he teaches you how to communicate clearly and consistently, which made everything click so much faster. His approach is patient, knowledgeable, and tailored to the dog in front of him. I’ve seen changes in my dog’s behavior, confidence, and impulse control. I honestly can’t recommend Joe enough. If you’re on the fence about training, don’t be.

I recently got a new puppy, Maka, who was a 5 month toy-mini bernedoodle at the start of training. Joe was phenomenal to work with. Prior to starting training with him, Maka was pretty impulsive, so I was skeptical that we would get far in only 4 sessions. To my surprise, after only 1 session with Joe, he was able to work on so much with her. Joe is very patient, energetic, and prides himself on punishment-free tactics that truly work. I had some scheduling difficulties due to my job and Joe was very understanding and able to work with me on that. I would recommend him to anyone who is in need of a trainer as he truly has a passion for this. Thanks Joe!
